Sony launched the successor of its Xperia XZ recently in April 2017, “Sony Xperia XZs”. From the look of it it doesn’t seem to have many changes as compared to its predecessors, will this handset get publicity will it be able to attract on goers? Find out what makes this Android Smartphone special.

Sony has always been known for producing refined and better designs, but as far as this device is concerned there is much to differ from its older versions. The front is glass, back is metal plated and the sides are plastic. It has a 5.2 inch full HD screen, which isn’t that hard to handle it fits in the palm. The sides are rounded off with curving glass providing a much smoother feel, and protected  by a gorilla glass coating. The top and bottom are flat so you can make stand, further more its not a fingerprint magnet so thanks Sony for that; like XZ the device is water and dust resistant. However the colors seem to be a bit saturated and less sharper in comparison once again, but overall the quality is pretty good. When it comes to bezels consumers prefer a bezel-less screen, whereas the design of XZs showcase notable amount of top and bottom bezels.

There’s a 3.5 mm headphone jack lying on the top edge and the USB type C-port on the bottom edge. All other buttons like the power button, camera shutter, and the volume rocker are present on the right side. As always Sony has manufactured its fingerprint sensor inside the power button. The dual SIM port lies on the left. The handset its self is beautiful but there isn’t something ingenious about the design and it wont require getting used to.

The display quality is overall good to go, like I said the colors may seem slightly saturated but the Quad HD display pulls off vibrant and bright viewing angels with a 1080 pixels resolution. It gets better in the daylight.

The camera upgrade is what makes this handset more desirable, Sony has engraved a 13 megapixels rear camera with larger pixels which also offer better picture quality with details in low light conditions. The rear camera is in fact a motion eye camera, it works wonders. As soon as it detects any movement it starts taking shot before you take the shot, so if you miss out on anything you can select from photos taken before you took the shot. The videos are also taken smoothly with the image stabilizer, the results are clear, detailed and the color reproduction is amazing; The best deal is that now you can take slow motion videos. Asides from that the 13 megapixels front camera also takes stunning shots, so selfie fans are going to fall in love with its quality.

Battery capacity is an unimpressive 2900 mAh, but with this Sony claimed that it has offered up to 2 days of battery life. With the battery technology from Qnovo and addition of STAMINA mode the battery life should be twice that as compared to its predecessors. However Sony fell short from its claim , with regular use they battery keeps you going for one day, 2 days seem fictional.

The performance and audio of XZs are pretty much the same as for XZ, With the only exception that the RAM has been enhanced to 4 GB and it uses a Snapdragon 820 Quad-core processor. It runs on Xperia UI and Android Nougat 7.0, so there much unique in the software compartment.

Overall this device is exceptional in its self, but if your looking for something more kicky it can not offer you that considering that it resembles a lot with Sony’s previous devices. Other than that its design is smooth and attractive, the camera has lots to offer from pictures to video quality. The display is excellent, and all together the package is exceptionally clean.
