Overview of LG G5 :

LG Electronics recently launched a new product on 23 April 2016 “LG G5”. Could this be there flagship smartphone? Lets find out. LG G5 has an aluminium chassis unibody, removable battery, fingerprint sensor and a modular system. The design of the LG G5 is disappointingly unappealing, though it may look sleek and curvy. The metal body and modular capabilities excites consumers but in case of LG G5 when holding it feels hollow , it feels more like plastic. It has a slightly curving top which makes it stand out, some users may prefer this structure and some may not.

LG electronics was able to full fill the fantasy of having an android smartphone with removable parts, Yes the parts of this product can be swapped. Making it possible to upgrade the components in the phone which the user might desire to customize. In order to operate this feature all you need to do is press a small button present at the left side, in doing so the modular components at the bottom of LG G5 will come out, pull that out and replace battery in a new module which you chose. This is the most impressive feature of the LG G5, however every time you want to swap the components the device will be switched of because the battery is attached to it.

The only downfall is that LG so far has only two modules Cam Plus and Hi-Fi Plus. cam plus gives you the feel of operating a real camera, and Hi-Fi plus gives an amazing sound quality.

Another Unique feature which LG Electronics added to this device is that it houses two cameras. One of which is a 16 megapixel camera with 75 degrees field of view, the other is an 8 megapixel camera with a massive 135 degrees field of view. When using the wide angle view some details may be lost but it works just fine. If you want to take some clicks of a landscape then this is what you need, especially if you want a two version snap. This again is an impressive feature now you can have the DSLR experience just with your smartphone. Switching between both of the cameras is done simply by a tap on the icon at the top of the camera.

LG G5 includes a 5.3 inch quad HD display with IPS LCD panels, it has the best display in comparison to its previous versions. The display is astonishingly sharp and gives the real life view with accurate colors and vibrancy, it also has a much more improved brightness status. G5 shows notifications at all times instead of after waving your hand on the screen, but interaction with these notifications is not a feature in G5. LG had decided to use a smaller battery of 2800 mAh, this was basically due to the the innovation of modular technology. The size of the battery did not the effect the performance which is excellent considering the usage of a smaller cell. It can take over heavy loads with full day usage. LG G5 decided to use a USB C port.

As far as performance is concerned G5 comes with Qualcomm’s snapdragon 820 chip, this quad core chip provides a maximum speed of 2.2 GHz. This also led to a more productive graphic performance, along with the ability to withstand complex gaming. Overall it matches S7’s performance, LG G5 is an excellent experience.
